A Bit About Me:
I'm a dedicated CBT & EMDR psychotherapist, and I deeply believe in the power of a safe, compassionate space to help people process life’s most challenging experiences. My passion lies in helping people move past their pain and begin the journey towards healing. I’m mum to two delightful children in primary and secondary school, and our family is completed by two energetic dogs who keep me active and grounded with our daily walks!
Professional Experience:
My journey in the field of mental health began over 22 years ago, working with vulnerable children, including seven years within Youth Justice. This early experience gave me a deep understanding of the resilience needed to support young people and families through life’s adversities. I then dedicated five years to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) within the NHS, serving as a CBT, EMDR, and Parenting therapist, where I worked with children ages 3 to 18, as well as their parents. Here, I gained specialised experience delivering therapeutic interventions for a range of mental health challenges, including working with neurodiverse clients, particularly those with ASD and ADHD.
For the past three years, I’ve been privileged to serve as a Lead Trauma Therapist in the private sector, where I specialise in CBT and EMDR therapy for children and adults who have experienced trauma. After starting my own practice in 2020, I quickly realised how much I cherished the freedom to create a balanced life for myself and my family. It’s been incredibly rewarding to focus solely on private practice, where I can devote my full energy to supporting my clients.
